Seattle Children's Hospital

Lariah and Mom went up to Seattle Children's Hospital on Friday Feb. 8, 2012 so Lariah could get an EEG because of the seizures the week before. She did great and we have another appointment the 20th to find out what's going on and what steps we need to take next. She did surprisingly well during the EEG, mostly because they let her watch Spongebob Squarepants during the first half of the test!

Trip to the Emergency Room

Lariah had a seizure Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 1am so Mom took her to the Emergency Room at St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia. After almost 8 hours (4 1/2 in the waiting room) the ER doctor spoke with her Neurologist at Seattle Children's Hospital and they put her back on the seizure medication that she was taken off of over 3 years ago, until they can get her in for an EEG up in Seattle to determine if they are actual seizures. She's doing great though and we have kept her out of school so we can keep an eye on her for a few days. She made herself a fort in the waiting room and thought the whole trip was for fun!
