Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend

The kids and Mom had a three day weekend because of Martin Luther King Jr. day today, January 21, 2013. Caden learned a lot about Mr. king in school the week before so we decided to have him teach the family everything he knew. It was a great experience! He then talked about racism and how he doesn't like the word racist because its such a strong word, which seemed pretty insightful for a 6 year old to me. I let the kids help me out with this website because its pretty much all about them, and Caden thought we should do a tribute post for Martin Luther King Jr. and everything he did to help create the world we live in today.

So thank you Mr. King! Your dream lives on in all of us!

Summer Fun

Caden, Lariah and her best friend Daijah spent many summer days in the sprinkler and on the slip 'n slide! Lariah had to wear goggles all summer because of her eye surgery in early June, but she was rockin' them!!

Manresa Castle- Port Townsend, Wa.

On January 5, 2013 Mom, Caden, Anthony, Uncle Jeremy, Uncle Jesse, Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Fred, Taliene and Dave went to Port Townsend, Washington for Anthony's 13th birthday. Anthony was born in Port Townsend and always wanted to go back to visit, so for his birthday we did just that! We stayed at the Manresa Castle, which is one of the "most haunted places" in Washington!
